ISM-Philadelphia has served the purchasing and supply management professionals of the Greater Philadelphia area since 1915. The local association is a not-for-profit professional educational association, affiliated with the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and offers seminars and educational meeting programs designed to meet the needs of today’s supply management professionals.
Members of ISM-Philadelphia receive current affiliate news and educational articles in a monthly e-Newsletter. With approximately 500 members in the Philadelphia affiliate, ISM-Philadelphia offers its members an excellent opportunity for networking and professional development. Our monthly Business Education Series meetings features two presentations on current supply management or business related topic and dinner. Business Education Series meetings are typically held on the second Thursday of each month. Throughout the year, full and half day seminars are held as are social networking events.
With a network of over 50,000 members located in 100 countries, across 140 affiliates, ISM is the largest and most respected supply management organization in the world. Through this network of professionals and affiliates, members of ISM-Philadelphia have access to the latest in professional development, educational materials, and renowned CAP benchmarking studies. ISM sponsors several special interest groups and forums to facilitate the exchange of ideas amongst its members.
The National Association’s Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) program sets standards of qualification for supply management professionals and has become the preferred supply chain credential. Introduced in 2008, the CPSM program superseded the C.P.M. designation. ISM-Philadelphia offers its regular members access to a loaner library to support their study to obtain the CPSM designation.
