The IFMA Greater Seattle Education Symposium is our chapter’s flagship education event featuring a full day of continuing education sessions on important trends and practices in facility management. This year’s event features “The Sustainable FM Career” to help facility managers address the variety of challenges they face day to day and long term.

Earn continuing education hours for credential maintenance of the CFM, FMP, BOC and other professional designations.

 

Keynote Speaker: IFMA Fellow, Dr. Dean Kashiwagi
Dr. Dean T. Kashiwagi is a world renowned researcher in procurement, risk management, and project management. Dr. Kashiwagi has been in the industry for 25+ years researching, and developing a technology has been tested 1800+ times totaling $6.6 Billion ($4.4 Billion in construction projects and $2.2 Billion in non-construction projects) with a 98% success rate since 1994 in 7 different countries and 32 states.
He is a past recipient of the IFMA’s Distinguished Educator award (2009) and became a IFMA fellow in 2012. He is credited with establishing Best Value programs at six universities around the world. This includes receiving a Fulbright Scholar award to share state-of-the-art best value research and practices with the people of Botswana, Africa. A powerful force in research and education, Dr. Dean has championed programs to advance many professions and continues to prepare the next generation of leaders. Prior to working at Kashiwagi Solution Model Inc., he was a professor at Arizona State University and served 14 years in the US Air Force as a project engineer.
