25 Jan Association of Supply Chain Management – Dayton Chapter Presentation
Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) is a global leader in supply chain organizational transformation, innovation, and leadership. ASCM is focused on connecting with thought leaders from around the world on the most cutting-edge technology.
With the latest fiasco with the worlds global supply chains, professionals in the industry have conflicting views on the core issue. Dr. Dean proposes that the issue for poor performance and major delays is not a technical issue; it is a people issue – and the solution is very simple – identify and utilize expertise, while minimizing the tasks and involvement of non-experts touching any part of the supply chain. This is a skill that many professionals in the industry know is valuable, but do not know where to begin to develop it.
In November, ASCM Dayton Ohio Chapter invited Dr. Dean to share his insights on this solution of identifying and utilizing expertise. Chapter leadership gave the presentation a 10 out of 10 rating and felt his presentation was relevant.
