Overview

We offer an online or in-person Masters of Science degree program through Arizona State University’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. There are two concentrations of this degree the student can choose from: Facility Management or Project Management. The core of degree is oriented around the thesis research. At the outset, the student is exposed to a new business model; one that focuses on performance information, value, and risk minimization. The student then identifies a problem, inefficiency, or risk at their own place of work and uses the concepts and tools learned in the coursework to solve that problem.

Most of the coursework is hands on and relates to the student’s workplace. The student is educated on how to identify, analyze, and solve workplace related inefficiencies. The bulk of the homework is centered around the thesis, unlike most other Masters Degrees. The student’s thesis is the central teaching tool which results in immediate improvement and value at their company.

Whether the student chooses the Facility Management or Project Management concentration, the core classes are the same. Each curriculum entails 24 credit hours of coursework and 6 credit hours of oriented thesis research.

Requirements

  • 10+ Yrs of provable industry experience.
  • Less than 10 Years are subject to complete deficiency courses in addition to the required courses.
  • A minimum of a “B” (grade) or better must be achieved in all courses to receive full credit.
  • Have a topic related to solving an issue at the workplace.
  • Data collection is a must for thesis work; techniques will be taught how to gather, and organize it.
